CHEA--Council for Higher Education Accreditation,(美國) 高等教育認證委員會。美國高等院校的品質認證一般由專業認證機構負責,經美國教育部認可的專業認證機構主要有六大區域認證機構及近百個專業認證機構。聯邦政府通過認證機構間接起到對各院校的管理與規範。全美高等教育認證委員會(CHEA)是協調並審核認證機構的專業機構。 通過區域性認證協會或其它專業認證機構的認證,各院校可實現學分相互轉換,所頒發的學位證書或文憑證書能獲得社會的廣泛認可。

美國南部院校協會大學委員會(全稱:Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges ,即SACSCOC)隸屬於美國六大聯盟,是美國地區性高等院校學位授予認證機構,管轄範圍包括湯瑪斯大學地處的喬治亞州在內的西南部11州。

美國西部院校聯盟(WASC)是美國教育部授權的為公立和私立學校、學院和大學進行認證的六大教育聯盟之一,其認證標準明確、流程嚴密、評估全面,至今已對世界各地超過4600所院校進行認證,是極受認可、極具權威的教育認證機構。WASC認證的宗旨是:學校的目標在於學生學習上的成功,學校有明確的宗旨和為全校學生設立的目標,以及學校參加內部/外部評估、自我完善以更好地支持學生的學習。圍繞著以上宗旨,WASC認證的評估涉及到學校教學與運營的方方面面。學校除提交上百頁的書面材料外,也按照委員會要求安排董事會與管理層面談、各類課堂旁聽、學生對談、教師訪談與職工訪談,從課程體系到寄宿專案,從財務、人事到運營、招生,都獲得了積極正面的回饋。

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to helping international students and professionals achieve their educational and professional goals in the United States and Canada. Founded in 1974, we evaluate and advocate for the recognition of international education qualifications.

For 45 years, we have set the standard of excellence in the field of international mobility with our credential evaluations, research, and ongoing support for international students and skilled immigrants. We have provided credential evaluations to almost two million people worldwide. Our evaluations are widely recognized by more than 2,500 educational, business, and governmental institutions throughout the U.S. and Canada.

We want international students and professionals to succeed. That’s why we offer resources. Through WES Advisor, we publish articles on a wide range of topics about working and studying in the U.S. and Canada. WES Global Talent Bridge and our research and consulting services provide support to institutions that work with international students and professionals. The WES Mariam Assefa Fund, our high-impact USD$30 million philanthropic fund, supports organizations working to integrate immigrants and refugees into the economy in the U.S. and Canada.

Josef Silny and Associates

Josef Silny and Associates, Inc., International Education Consultants (JS&A) is a private organization founded in 1987. Our purpose is to serve foreign nationals who come to study, work or live in the United States. We evaluate and translate their foreign educational credentials and issue a report of equivalency in terms of the educational system in the United States. Our foreign credential evaluations and translations are used for high school, undergraduate, and graduate admission, immigration, employment, professional licensure, and other purposes.

In addition to our extensive knowledge of world educational systems, our multilingual staff of over 70 professionals understands the situation of our applicants because most of us have lived or studied abroad, and now reside in Miami, one of the most multicultural cities in the world. You will receive personalized attention and answers to all your questions. 

JS&A is a Member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and the American Translators Association (ATA). Josef Silny is a past chairperson of NACES.

Josef Silny, founder and President of JS&A, is recognized nationally and internationally as an expert, having written numerous publications in the field of foreign credential evaluation and international admissions. He has more than forty years of experience in international education, including five years as the Director of International and Transfer Admissions at the City University of New York and eleven years as the Director of International Admissions at the University of Miami. He has participated as a panelist or workshop director at professional conferences since 1974 and has held numerous committee chairmanships and memberships in national professional organizations and corporations.
